Location

The town of Botwood, in Central Newfoundland, has a rich history of change. Originally a fishing center on the shores of Notre Dame Bay, Botwood became notable as a stopover point for transatlantic flights during World Wars I and II.

The economy of Botwood traditionally relied on fishing and, later, pulp and paper-related industries. Its deep-water port, the closest to the European market, was once a vital bustling hub until the pulp and paper industry succumbed to the internet, replacing newspapers and paper mail.

The port of Botwood is the closest port in North America to Western Europe.

OUR MISSION

It is our mission to ensure profitability for all of our shareholders and produce social and economic value for all stakeholders involved in project execution and operation.

It is our vision to bring the energy transition to hard-to-abate industries by developing energy infrastructure in previously untapped areas. We use tested, available, technology in storage, transportation and infrastructure to capitalize on energy resources that were once logistically impossible to develop.

We believe that EVREC must function responsibly within the global community, the corporate community and the local communities touched by our projects and the natural environment.

At EVREC, we have an inclusive corporate culture and hire based on ability, experience, education and a desire to make a change in the world. We believe that ethnicity, age, preferred pronouns or sexual preference have no bearing on how well a person does a job. We are always looking for dedicated, passionate new team members with the right combination of experience and work ethic.
